At first glance, I did not really see a ton of relevance in this article, but then I read through it more closely and really appreciate the direction the author is taking. There is tremendous value in teamwork and “strength in numbers” when considering the threat defenses of an organization. One aspect is the notion the author focuses on in the second half of the article – integration of threat intelligence and context and the sharing of information across security functions and roles. The other aspect is more simplistic and taken directly from the movie analogy. We need to band together. We need to continue to grow and foster a cyber security community that helps each other through information sharing and collaboration.
