Assuming this does not significantly delay the overall approval process for newly generated applications, this change of approach by Google in the validation of apps within the Play Store should be applauded. A lack of more thorough scrutiny has long been a mark against Android and a security plus for the Apple App Store. This new policy and approach goes a long way to narrowing that gap.
